India, birthplace of chess, yoga and algebra, is now home to the newest WorldTeach program.
We are excited to announce our newest partnership with India and are now accepting applications for our inaugural year. Volunteers will teach English to students of varying age levels, depending on their site. Volunteers placed at orphanages will teach English at the local schools the orphans attend, as well as work with these students after school hours at the orphanage, assisting with homework and extra-curricular activities. Those who are interested may also help with the medical missions to the nearby leprosy colonies, and may teach computer skills to children from nearby colonies. For more information, visit our WorldTeach India page.
Are you interested in being part of this exciting new partnership? Volunteers will depart in mid-June, and applications are now being accepted on a rolling basis until April 10, 2012. Because of the shortened timeline, there is an expedited application process. If interested, contact Thanh Nguyen at firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP to hear about the application process and get started!
